Soon the couple announced their engagement, the question often arises that when the marriage is going to be held. And this long waited question is going to be end now as the date of marriage ceremony of Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan and Bollywood Super Star Aishwarya Rai are coming closer and closer this month. It is to be held on 20^th of April this month. Hence, there is hardly a week to go.

As per the shopping are concerned, they both are busy in doing so and is almost at the end. Aishwarya Rai has bought elegant sarees from the heart of Varanasi. On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan is going to wear a golden colored pure silk sherwani, expected to cost between Rs 2 to Rs 5 lakhs, for his wedding with Aishwarya.

The source has informed that the marriage will be a small, private affaire and only close relatives and friends are invited for it. The wedding will held at the Bachchan’s residence named “Prateeksha”

The marriage will be really a disheartening for Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan fans. Despite this, the fan’s best wishes are always with the couples.

Both the couple saw various ups and downs in the personal as well as professional life. Aishwarya Rai has always remained in controversies with Bollywood super star Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi. On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan was linked with Bollywood most pretty women and the daughter of most renowned Kapoor family Karishma Kapoor. It was rumored that they both got engaged but soon after that Karishma Kapoor married to her childhood friend Sanjay Kapoor.

Abhishek Bachchan’s Marriage & Controversy

Controversies are the daily affaire of Bollywood industry and this time its was the turn of Bollywood super star Abhishek Bachchan.

It was the very morning of 20^th April, the great day for Bachchan family, as Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan, was about to get married to former Miss World cum Bollywood gorgeous lady Aishwarya Rai. Soon after the ceremonies were going to begin, a controversy raised that Abhishek Bachchan has an affaire with a girl (model) called Jahanvi Kapoor and the couple had a child too.

The entire controversy was itself raised by Jahanvi Kapoor. She even, claimed that they were having love relation since last one year soon, after the movie “Dus” was released. Jahanvi Kappor acted in the movie as a background dancer. They both were having a good time and the outcome of the good relation is a child (she claimed).

This is not the end of the story, this controversial lady also tried to commit suicide in the front of Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow “Preteeksha” on the very day of Abhishek Bachchan marriage. But it was all media’s move, who cooled down this issue and depicted that she is a fraud lady and it is her profession to trap rich persons for the sake of fame and money.

What’s the real story behind this controversy, we don’t know! What we all know is that the end of 20^th April was great, as Abhishek Bachchan finally tied a knot with Aishwarya Rai. And we all wish them a very good luck for their future.

After Abhiash’ s Wedding, Its Another Turn

This month is providing to be a big one for weddings. As if Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding touted as the wedding of the year – was not enough, rumours are doing the round that Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif and Yuvraj Singh-Kim Sharma are also tying the knot this month itself.

While Katrina is away in Dubai, with packed shooting schedules for the entire month of April, gossipmongers back home are working relentlessly. If the buzz is to be believed, then Katrina’s getting married to boyfriend Salman Khan on April 18, just two days before Salman’s ex-flame Aishwarya gets married to beau Abhishek Bachchan on April 20.

But ask Katrina about it, and the lady comes out with a straight no. “This is complete nonsense,” she says, adding, “I am in Dubai currently and I am shooting for the whole month with Saif. It is quite irresponsible on everybody’s part to entertain this story. I think it’s time people started behaving responsibly.”

Kim Sharma, meanwhile, goes a step ahead and wants the person spreading rumors about her wedding with Yuvi to be slapped. “There is no truth in this. I am not getting married to anyone right now,” Kim says. About reports that Yuvi’s house in Delhi is being decked up for his shaadi, his mother Shabnam says, “While Yuvi has met somebody he likes, there is no wedding happening anytime in the future.” In jest, she adds, “I have also told Yuvi that if he is getting married, he’d better invite me.

Hence, in this whole month of wedding, apart from Abhishek and Aishwarya, there are two more couples who are in the range of rumors to get married. What is truth we don’t know….but its true that there is no spark without a flame.

Abhishek Bachchan Is Rocking Ad Industry

Apart from doing movies, many of the Bollywood actors and actress also involve themselves into advertisement section. Most of the Bollywood stars such Hema Malini, John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Aishwarya Rai etc apart form doing movies these characters are also associated with several brand names for earning some extra income. The question arises as ‘why not Abhishek Bachchan”. Now he is also involving himself with several brand names such as Motorola and LG.

He is associated with the brand name LG, since last one year and carries a position of brand ambassador for its home appliances. The alliance is part of LG’s strategy for 2006, wherein the company will be giving its home appliances division a brand new identity, youthful image and customer connect.

He is also a part of Motorola group, as he is again the brand ambassador of this mobile phone company. As Motorola’s brand ambassador, Abhishek will support marketing and branding efforts for the entire Mobile Device product range.

Motorola’s brand quotient of youthful spirit, daring to be different, being bold and smart is in sync with Abhishek’s bold and daring attitude, enigmatic looks and unconventional style. Abhishek fits in as the iconic “MOTOSTAR” who now joins tennis top seed, Maria Sharapova as a brand ambassador for Motorola globally.

Besides this, after being a brand ambassador of Maruti Versa, he has also joined hands with Ford. Abhishek Bachchan is now a brand ambassador of Ford Fiesta. Ford India has signed Abhishek to endorse its mid-sized sedan, Ford 'Fiesta. As maybe recalled when auto giants Maruti launched its multi purpose vehicle 'Versa' in 2001, it had signed Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek as brand ambassadors. The ‘Versa’, of course, refused to light up sales at Maruti and, four years later, sells at a hefty discount to Rs 5 lakh, the price at which it was introduced.

New Couple Walk The Red Carpet At Cannes

When we talk of Cannes Film Festival how Bollywood can be left behind? This time many of our stars were to be a part of it. But for the newly wedded couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan this was their first festival which they are celebrating together. After getting married, the newly wedded couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai made their walk on the red carpet at Cannes.

Aishwarya Rai has been a part of this festival for quite sometime. She mainly use to come along with Preity Zinta but this the scenario was different as she walked down the red carpet as Mrs Aishwarya Bachchan along with hubby Abhishek Bachchan, who himself is a renowned Bollywood superstar.


It was the special moment, indeed, not just for the couple but for the entire film fraternity as they made their first appearance together after their marriage which was held on 20th April this year at Amitab Bachchan’s bungalow ‘Prateeksha’. Aishwarya looked pretty in her silver fish cut evening gown.


But the two gave a royal ditch to director Mani Ratnam at Cannes. They did not stay for their premier of their film Guru despite Ratnam’s persistent request. A sources close to filmmaker says that Abhishek and Aishwarya had some other plans and they were flying out the day when Guru was being premiered at Cannes.

Apparently, the couple believes that they are long done with the film and any publicity exercise at this point will not serve any purpose. This is a pleasure trip for both of them and especially for Aishwarya Bachchan as she has made her trip after long time, after marriage. Obviously, she didn’t want to think about work. Aishwarya Bachchan has already interrupted her honeymoon for her earlier commitments to a product advertisement.
